This project was created to inspire more recycling efforts in peoples’ personal craft and creativity. It was selected as a finalist for both the CFDA Design Scholarship and Joe’s Blackbook design competitions.

Currently we are filling up the world with our waste while many of the things we throw away remain usable or easy to repurpose. This project was meant as a fun exploration of what’s possible when we challenge our perception of waste. When done successfully “dirty” is revealed as an illusion, not an absolute.
